I’m Zahria.

I was born and raised in the dynamic city of St. Louis, Missouri, where I was immersed in a rich tapestry of cultures and experiences. St. Louis is more than just my hometown; it's a canvas painted with the hues of shared experiences and unique stories. The tapestry of cultures and backgrounds that intertwine in this city taught me the beauty of diversity and the importance of embracing our differences.

Dedicated to attending an HBCU after high school, I chose the illustrious Hampton University.  Although I didn't graduate from Hampton University, the years I spent there, from 2017 to 2020, played a pivotal role in shaping my perspective. The vibrant campus life, the friendships forged, and the invaluable lessons learned became the foundation upon which I built my passion for community, creativity, and resilience. These values have become the driving force behind Homegirl Intervention.

My journey as a content creator on YouTube is a testament to the power of authenticity and connection. With over 50,000 subscribers gained in just a little over a year, the journey wasn't solely about sharing recipes; it was about the genuine connections we formed. This experience revealed to me the profound impact of personal branding and the importance of sharing one's true self with the world.

My heart is eternally drawn to the world of creativity. I've had the privilege of breathing life into the visual aesthetics, marketing strategies, and creative direction of HGI. This platform is my canvas, and every episode is a brushstroke, painting a tapestry of empowerment and authenticity.

But beyond the world of creativity, I have a deep-rooted passion for exploration. I find sheer joy in traveling and immersing myself in different cultures.  As a bookworm at heart, I've been captivated by the world of literature since childhood. The magic of books, the stories they tell, and the knowledge they hold have been constant companions throughout my life.

And then there's my love for talking. Ever since I can remember, I've been drawn to the art of conversation, sharing stories, and engaging in meaningful discussions. It's this passion for dialogue that led to the creation of Homegirl Intervention.

Every episode is an opportunity to connect, inspire, and share authenticity.

I'm incredibly excited to connect and share collective experiences with the world through Homegirl Intervention.

This podcast is more than a project; it's a testament to the power of friendship, storytelling, and genuine connections.
